			73. SAINT PETER At first he was a fisherman in Bethsaida, near the Sea of Galilee. Before having met Jesus, his name had been Simon. He was apostle Andrew's brother. He served Jesus with all his love. After Jesus ascended to His Father, Peter began to restlessly preach the Gospel. He came to Rome, where he became a victim of the persecutions against Christians initiated by Nero, the Roman Emperor. He was crucified upside down, at his own request, in order not to be crucified like Jesus had been.
